Anansi & the Azure Secret

Anansi had heard whispers about Azure. They said Natalie could take Bajan Cherry, Soursop, Jamun (Java Plum), Passion Fruit and Barbados-born Grapefruit and turn them into something extraordinary.

Wanting the secret for himself, he stole her basket and tried everything: mixing the fruits, rubbing them together, whispering spells and using every trick he knew. Nothing happened.

Then Anansi understood. The secret was never inside the basket. It was Natalie—her knowledge, her care and the touch of her hands.

Before sunrise, he returned the basket.

Soothing the Beast

By moonlight, the island heard her before it saw her: fire in her eyes, steam at her nostrils—part woman, part metal.

She carried heat, dust and long days, believing strength meant never needing softness.

Then she found Azure’s Bajan Cherry routine. The wash cleared the road away; the scrub lifted what clung; lotion and oil cooled and conditioned her skin.
